Diabetes usually has no specific symptoms or very few symptoms. Frequent urination, thirst and overeating are symptoms of diabetes.
Types Of Diabetes In Persian Traditional Medicine
In traditional medicine, diabetes is divided into two types: Hot diabetes and cold diabetes.
Hot Diabetes
If Safra (bile) humor is burned in the body, it will turn into burned Soda (black bile) and have negative effects on the entire organs in the body, including the pancreas. Predominance of Safra and Soda together causes hot diabetes, which causes the pancreas to turn black.
Also, it is stated in some references, that hot diabetes is due to the abnormal heat of the kidney and liver, or hot maltemperament of the liver and kidneys.

Cold Diabetes

Cold diabetes is more common among women, children, and obese and fair people. Cold diabetes occurs with stress.
Cold diabetes occurs when extreme cold dominates the kidneys and liver or the body (kidney and liver cold maltemperament). Therefore, urinary flow and fluid excretion system are disturbed.
Unlike the hot type, where the appetite and desire for water was high, in cold diabetes, the appetite falls. Weight loss also happens.
